Project LIFE, which is a six week course that teaches parents basic life skills that help them improve skills needed to become better parents.
Each session lasts for two hours and meets weekly for a six week period. There is a fee of $60.00 for the course and participants can register at Liberty County Extension Office, located at 501 Palmer, Liberty, TX. The course is open to anyone seeking parenting classes. The course is
recognized by the local court system. Payment arrangements must be made prior to course start date. Reservations are required; spaces are limited!

Cooking Up a Cottage Food Business
Looking for your own business opportunity? Starting a Cottage Food Business can be easy! During this class participants can learn how to establish a new personal business, tips to maintaining a successful business, the Texas Cottage Food Laws, learn what food items can be produced from home and where those items can be sold and how to avoid potentially hazardous food items. The 3 hour course is $10 and participants may inquire about the class schedule and registration by contacting Alexis Cordova at (936)334-3230.
Food Handler’s Certification Course
The 2 hour certification course is available for any individual, food service employee, cottage food business owner, student, or food manager who needs to renew or obtain the 2 year Food Handler’s Certification. The course is offered at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office located at 501 Palmer Ave. in Liberty, TX 77575. The 2 hour course is $20. I have allowed 30 additional minutes for registration and evaluation.
