Battleground to Breaking Ground Agriculture Workshop and Farm Tour

Texas AgrAbility and the Battleground to Breaking Ground Project in partnership with the Liberty County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension are hosting a farm tour and ag business workshop for veterans, individuals with disabilities, beginning farmer/ranchers, and anyone interested in starting an ag business on May 17 & 18, 2019 in Liberty, Texas.

May 17, 2019 – FARM TOUR & NETWORKING EVENT
• About: Join us for a FREE farm tour of Langetree Retreat & Eco Center in Liberty, Texas. Langetree Retreat & Eco Center is a local farm, education center, and agriculture tourism destination. We will tour the farm and discuss:
o Agri-Tourism (hosting community events & farm tours)
o Environmental Sustainability
o Determining your Niche
o Marketing
o Community Engagement
• Time: 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

May 18, 2019 – BATTLEGROUND TO BREAKING GROUND AG WORKSHOP

 Agriculture business start-up
 Business plan development
 Possibilities for farming/ranching with a disability
 Financial funding sources for farming/ranching
 Marketing resources
 Resources to support agriculture business operations
